In Memory of

Bennie

Bennie

Bennie was a regal 20+ year old Thoroughbred gelding who came to PHH in December 2005, surrendered by his owner who was no longer able to care for him. Bennie was rescued off the track as a five year old, when he sustained a fetlock injury. More

Capers

Capers

Capers was a 22+ year old Thoroughbred type mare. Capers came to People Helping Horses when her previous owner was no longer able to financially take care of her. More

Coda

Coda

Suitable as a lovely pasture mate, Coda is a true character. Despite a deformed knee, this Palomino is always ready to play with the other horses--or just stand in his stall and receive all the treats he can. More

Freeman

Freeman

In loving memory of Freeman... October 2006 Freeman, a 26 year old beautiful and gentle Appaloosa gelding, came into PHH rescue a year ago, retired from Warm Beach Christian Camp. More

Halo

Halo

Aside from being starved nearly to death, Halo was kicked in the head and received no medical treatment from her former owner. We received Halo and her pasture mate, Vegas, into our care in November 2006 and are pleased to report she has come a long way. More

Jen

Jen

Part of a large King County seizure in February of 2008, Jen came to us underweight, wormy, and covered in rain rot. We actively treated all of her ailments, but there was nothing that could be done for her deformed leg. More

Marly

Marly

Marly was a 20+ year old Quarter Horse gelding. Marly came to People Helping Horses with a gimpy leg. More
